Cézanne’s influence on American Modernists was profound, but how relevant is he to artists of the digital age? The BMA comes alive with original works inspired by Cézanne: a “laptop quartet” orchestrated by Kyle Bennett, a video/audio installation by computer music performer/producer Rose Burt, a musical performance by Richard Chartier, kinetic chromatic art by Dan Conrad, DJ Adam T. Rush, and a multimedia piece by Sejayno (instrument maker Peter Blasser, troubadour/guitarist Carson Garhart, and performance poet Severiano Martinez). Hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, and DJ.
Sponsored by the BMA’s Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art.
Purchase tickets at the BMA Box Office—or online or by phone at 1-800-919-6272 (service charges apply to online and phone transactions).
